Muti for peace

So, the Daily Star of Lebanon announced a few days ago that Riccardo Muti will conduct the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra and Choir in the upcoming/quite uncertain summer festival of Baalbek, from July 22 to August 25.
Why uncertain? Because, except for the Muti announcement, not many shows have been confirmed. Just one actually. The Caracalla dance troupe, with its show the "Villager's Opera" scheduled to end the festival last year (cancelled by the Israeli bombs over Lebanon). Dear friends in Beirout, I'm so routing for you against the war you suffered last summer. Could it be possible, though, that you wrote down the name of Riccardo Muti right? Pretty please?

It's good that Muti is doing something with his life...the opera world needs more of him...

Especially since those insanely sensitive Scala staff members made him resign two years ago...
